Home Sweet Home!

Well, they say there's no place like home.  Sixteen years after moving from El Dorado, I find myself moving home.  I must admit, this was not something in my "plan."  If there is one thing I have learned in my adult life, it is to stop "planning" and just trust in God's perfect plan (and timing).  John was approached about a job opportunity with Marmik Oil in El Dorado, and it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.  I continue to count my blessings as Senator Boozman has allowed me to change my "duty location" from Little Rock to El Dorado.  We are in the middle of house hunting and living in the interim with Dad.  Again, we are counting our blessings for having a generous family and the ability to "take our time" and find the perfect home.

I am happy to report that thus far, John loves his new job and I'm enjoying reconnecting with El Dorado friends.  I heard him on a phone conversation say, "I have a smile on my face everyday when I go to work."  As a wife, this warms my heart.  I am so grateful that he is professionally satisfied and has an opportunity for future growth.  Our commute to work is two minutes and the grocery store is on the way home (which means about 45 seconds from the office and about 1 minute and 15 seconds from Dad's house).  I have acclimated to this convenience like a fish in water.

A weekend or so ago, John had to go to Dallas for work, so I was able to join him.  We had an incredible weekend shopping, eating good food, exploring a little of the scenery and attending Mass.  Our former parish was Christ the King, so we took pleasure in attending Christ the King of Dallas.  Good stuff!  On Saturday night, we ate at Oceanaire.  We had one in Washington, D.C., so it was nice to get some good seafood.  Dad insisted we eat at TABLE 71.  He made the reservation for us so that we would definitely have this opportunity to eat and people watch.  The table did not disappoint!  Below are just a few photos from our dinner.

As a disclaimer, these photos were taken using instagram.  Not sure about the "finish" I have selected, but I'm still experimenting!

My fabby dinner date!
